Hair perms! Need some good advice for flat, boring hair.?
Hey,
I heard that perms will create a lot more volume in your hair. I wouldnt mind having curly or wavy hair for a while if that was true.. thats how flat and boring my hair is. I used to have thicker hair..but because Ive dyed it a lot, it's begun to really thin out.
I'm sick of using all kinds of products that are just making my hair look stiff and flatter.. I want to get a perm! My hair is only a little bit past my shoulders now, so how much do you think it would shorten? I heard perms are bad for your hair.. but my hair is too soft and slippery and flat.. This is pretty much my last attempt.. I've done everything from horse shampoo, to damaging products, volumizing products, HAIR SPRAY.. the only thing thats somewhat worked is teasing and i find that just to be annoying.

There's no guarantee, 100% of your hair will be permed, some will be straight, or permed halfway.
There's no guarantee, your hair will not have split ends, no frizzy, because you will get many of them, as your wash & brush your hair.
It WILL make your hair thicker, but with dyed, it will snap and get weaker and that's a guarantee and as it is already thinning out, your hair is already crying for help, so it is not solving a problem, you're creating more problem for your hair.
You want hair with more volume? Set your hair the healthy way, by using plastic curlers. It's been used for generations, by the hair color and fashion industry, ex: Victoria Secret Fashion Show Dec 09. It is still being used in better salons where they care about pampering your hair.
