I worked in retail management and deal with lots of loose bolts, fittings screen, cutting the plastic strips, etc every day. I love my Dead Sea, but it was too big to carry, especially in informal businesses every day. So I took this little gem and wow, I'm impressed with everything in the design strength. I have not found much that can not bear that slips discreetly in your pocket better. Another factor is the versatility of this tool can be. I am a fisherman, hobby, so use this type bit with me, and helps with everything from cutting open the package for a new bait to "fish" tighten the screws. I'm so used to taking the train, so it would feel naked if I left home. Definitely 5 stars for me!

This is actually a replacement for my previous CX, which was lost snowboarding. That model (the 2008) was perfect. It went camping with me, hiking, cut everything from wood to sausage. This model, the 2009, is exactly the same, sans one feature: they moved the serrated blade to the stainless model. I am actually kind of disappointed about that as, aside from the quality of the steel and the tungsten coating, it was the most important factor in my decision to purchase this model.
That said, it's the only thing that I dislike about this multi-tool. It's light, durable, does everything you need and nothing you don't.

Awesome Pocket Tool
This thing never leaves my side. It's been clipped to my right pocked since the day I got it and I use it almost daily. The entire tool is extremely good quality and the blade was sharp as hell right out of the package. I have sharpened it once and it was very easy.
I have a classic Leatherman multi-tool that I've owned since I was a kid and I have to say that it is much stronger than this tool. However, this tool is designed to be small light and portable, the other one is heavy, dense, and cumbersome to use. Just know that it's not invincible, the pliers aren't designed to hold up to a lot of stress. I went camping last month and tried to use the pliers to bend a small tent stake. Without much force at all, the pliers snapped and one side broke completely off.
Fortunately ALL Leatherman tools have a 50 year warranty and they fixed it for free. I've had two tools repaired through their warranty service and both times have been incredibly pleasant experiences. They are kind and helpful when you call and they send your tool back in like-new condition in no time at all.
I love Leatherman tools and will never buy anything else.

Sleek and sharp
I have a Charge but this is much lighter and the blade is very sharp. Cool looking -- used the screwdriver -- good enough. The pliers are smaller than the Charge but seem adequate --- haven't really put too much force on them and hope they won't break like someone else reported.
I'd recommend this tool if a blade, smallish pliers and a conveneient scredriver are all that's needed.
Easily sits cliped in jeans pocket although some edges are a little square on presenting a sharp corner on that edge but ends are pretty curved.... solid feel and overall very good.

Wonderful Warranty
I've carried this tool every day since I bought it early in 2008, and darn if I don't use it more days than I don't.
The pliers, knife and four screwdrivers are large enough to actually complete most tasks that I find around my house, garage and small pasture. It's also designed so that it's light enough and such that I can clip it handily in a pocket and pretty much not know I'm carrying it.
But the best thing I found is the warranty. One week after I received it, I handed it to my 6'5", 250lb baseball glove hand sized son to remove nut. He squeezed just a bit and the pliers jaw snapped off. A quick look at the fracture surface indicated the kind of brittle fracture that I expect came from a casting flaw. Clearly it's not good that this kind of quality defect got through their process, but darn it, I had a new one within the week. The claim process was pretty painless too. My replacement tool has worked flawlessly for over two years now and I couldn't be happier!

Been using the skeletool for about a week now and i have not been disappointed. I take it almost everywhere i go (except the airport) and i have used the knife and bottle opener with ease. I have yet to run into an occasion to use the bits but im sure that time will come.

A Great Compact Tool Box
This little multitool is truly a mini-toolbox that fits nicely in your pocket. Great blade - just right for small tasks, without being bulky; the pliers are perfect for most light tasks. I expected a flimsy little tool, with limited use, BUT I was pleasantly surprised with how solid and durable this mini-multitool actually is. I strongly recommend it if you are looking for a new pocket knife that does alot more than just cut stuff. GJM
