Nissan altima gxe '97 , has 105000miles makes sound when driving?
It is the exhaust system ,the exhaust pipe just before the muffler was broken,a friend clamped a pipe to both ends and that reduced the sound by 50% but as i'm planning to sell this ,i am thinking to remove the sound further.what are your opinions and if i do change the exhaust pipe how much will it cost or are there any easy fixes.
Another thing is while i am pressing the accelerator it feels kind of tight not free at all.what could be the issue.the day the mechanic friend clamped the pipes to the exhaust the accelerator felt very free,I could tell immediately.But after a day or 2 it back to how it was before.
Can you suggest what could be done?
Professional results may take some new parts (throttle cable) and pay a mechanic. Carbon monoxide is dangerous please have a new exhaust system welded in. Shopping for cars get ready for sticker shock new cars are not cheep.
