why cant i stop the hand tool in photoshop?
i cant do anything on photoshop, because when i have selected new and created a canvas, the hand cursur is always there, if i select a brush to start to do somthing , its still in the form of a hand and i cant do anything?
please help

This just came up (again) in one of my Yahoo groups. It's not a rare thing. First, try resetting all the tools. Up in the Options bar, on the far left, stuck in the corner is a teeny arrowhead that noboby every notices. Click on it, then click on Reset All Tools. If that doesn't work, close the program. Hold down the Shift+CTRL+Alt keys (Windows. Sorry, I don't know the combination for Macs) and double click the program icon to start the program. Once the program loading screen comes up, release the keys. This sets everything back to default settings.
If neither of these work, you'll have to do the dreaded uninstall/reinstall. (But I'd try holding the keys down again just to see if it might work on the second try.....)
