How Can I?...?

I took two 9 Volt batteries and hooked one positive and negative terminal to each other. They snap on, okay, that's done. Now with the remaining positive and negative terminals, I soldered two wires. I am getting a current. I used a voltage meter to test it, I put the wires on my tongue, and I put the two wires together to make sure they heated up. Now, how can I make it so that when I hook it up to a doorknob, when someone touches it, they will be shocked?
Listen, I know what a capacitor is and all that. I've dealt with electricity before. If I'm not going to get that kind of reaction with 18 Volts, tell me what I need to do to get a reaction I'm looking for. I have only tonight to work on this. I need to use home supplies. I need to make it so that if someone touches my doorknob, they will get shocked. I don't have time for the thing to recharge. It needs to shock, then after that, be ready again.

Sorry, but there just are not enough ampere hours in 9V batteries to do what you want. Plus 18V just isn't enough for somebody to feel. You would need to build a circuit with a doubler and charge a capacitor to do what you want. The capacitor would store the energy and be able to deliver quite a bit of current, depending on its size (uf and voltage rating). Previous answer was very good.
