Wood Forstner Drill

Drilling flat bottom holes in wood.?

I need to drill 15 mm diameter holes for cam nuts, is a forstner bit my best choice?
Also, are there stop collars for these bits?

If you don't have a wood drill bit http://www.partridges.uk.com/catalog/images/Wood_Drill_Bits.jpg it can't hurt, as far as a stop collar, I usually just use a piece of electrical tape wrapped around the bit at the depth I'm needing as a guide.

With the forstner bit you could make a jig where as the chuck of the drill can't get any closer to what your drilling into, than the depth you need. http://picasaweb.google.com/Sentinel8Co/Jig#slideshow/5367406199734795650
